In March of 2010, Kim Hollenshead created The Talent Sleuth as a Human Resource and Talent Search firm. Hollenshead started her career in recruiting and human resources in Austin, Texas in 1998. She has worked for Fortune 500 firms and technology startups. Hollenshead started the website Help I Was Laid Off in the early 2009 in response to the number of people who sought her out to gain her advice on their career searches. Along with other HR and marketing contributors, Hollenshead still doles out ideas which have proven successful for many in job search mode. Launching The Talent Sleuth gave an added dimension to the HR and recruiting work she had already started a year prior. She now consults with companies aiding them with their human resource endeavors as they become better people managers and ensuring that they are complying to laws where employees are concerned. She also works with organizations to acquire new talent in various capacities. Outside of her work with organizations, she also consults one-on-one in either person or over the phone with individuals. She provides resume reviews, career and networking tips and empowers her clients in their job search, which ultimately enables them to find employment that is satisfying to both their personal and financial goals.
