Humane Society Silicon Valley(HSSV) is an independent, non-profit animal shelter that has been serving people and pets for over 80 years. In April 2009, we moved from Santa Clara to our new Animal Community Center in Milpitas. We also operate Neighborhood Adoption Centers in the PETCO at the El Paseo Shopping Center in West San Jose, Petco in Sunnyvale on El Camino Real and PetSmart in Mountain View off Hwy 101. Our new Animal Community Center is the first environmentally \"green\" certified animal facility in the country to offer an adoption program with a full spectrum of pet and community services: A Medical Center specializing in affordable spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping and testing services; A Dog Park; Training and Grooming services; An Education Center with programs for children and teens; A Community Room that can be rented by groups for meetings;and Whole Pets, a pet store featuring human-grade food and high-quality pet products at competitive prices. All proceeds from these services support our life saving work.
